Rammstein announced as 3rd headliner of Rock am Ring / Rock im Park 2017!
Organizers of the Rock am Ring & Rock im Park festivals are proud happy to announce the highly anticipated third headliner for 2017 – cult German metal band RAMMSTEIN! The band around the frontman Till Lindemann will play their only German shows in 2017 exclusively at this twin festivals, alongside previously announced System Of A Down and Die Toten Hosen.
For 22 years, the hard-hitting German collective has been forging one worldwide hit after the other. Their international breakthrough came in 1997 when Rammstein and Heirate mich were included on the soundtrack of David Lynch’s Lost Highway. Today they are still a force to be reckoned with on the rock and metal scene thanks to numerous standout tracks including Sonne, Ich Will and Feuer Frei. When Till Lindemann, Richard Kruspe, Paul Landers, Oliver Riedel, Christian Lorenz and Christoph Schneider mount the stage all bets are off and it’s all systems go: theatrical costumes, amazing pyrotechnics, provocative lyrics and booming guitars blend into one unique concert experience. Shocking circus act, intimidating demagoguery or hilarious parody – a Rammstein performance has many faces. One thing is for certain: here in Dessel we can hardly wait to welcome the masters of Tanzmetall.
Other new confirmed bands are:
ALTER BRIDGE * BEATSTEAKS * FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH * FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES * GENETIKK * SLAVES * SUICIDE SILENCE * THRICE
Rock am Ring / Rock im Park festivals will take place on the first weekend of June 2017, from 2nd to 4th and on 4 stages will bring about 90 performances. After the weeks of flying rumors, now it’s clear that Rock am Ring will stay at the airport in Mending, while Rock im Park will happen on Zeppelinfeld in Nürnberg as usual.
Tickets (incl. camping + parking), for both festivals are sold on www.eventim.de, currently starting at 185€ (+fees). Since 29th December, the price of the tickets will increase to 195€ (+fees).
