Live Nation Deutschland and Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur today released an unexpected announcement. German pioneering rock festival ROCK AM RING will return to its home at Nürburgring, where all started back in 1985.


As the organizers reports, this step was necessary to preserve the festival in the future, due to unsustainable conditions at the airport in Mendig, where Rock am Ring took place in last 2 years. The festival was hit by a several strong thunderstorms, that culminated in nearly 100 people being taken to hospital. Following that, many new restrictions has been put in place.

Tickets (incl. camping + parking), to Rock am Ring 2017 are sold on, starting at 185€ (+fees). Since 29th December, the price will increase to 195€ (+fees). All previously purchased tickets remains valid for the festival.

Rock am Ring will take place on the first weekend of June 2017, from 2nd to 4th, and will be headlined by System of a Down, Rammstein and Die Toten Hosen. On the festival will also appear Five Finger Death Punch, Alter Bridge, In Flames or Prophets Of Rage – the supergroup formed from members of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill!
