Skillet and Pop Evil announced for Rock for People 2018!
Not too long after announcement of the first name, organizers of Rock for People reveals another confirmed acts for 2018’s festival. After 2 years to Hradec Kralove will return American rockers SKILLET, and for the first time in Czech Republic will arrive POP EVIL.
In 2016 Skillet got the hearts of almost all of people who were standing under their stage: “The crowd cheered, the crowd was singing, the crowd was returning so much energy back, it was unbelievable how everything worked beautifully together,” wrote iReport about band’s previous performance.
For the big success, Rock for People will host them once again. The platinum disc holders for their album Awake, winners at the Billboard Music Awards and nominated for several Grammy Awards, the band was formed in 1996 in Memphis and up to date has released 10 studio records. They currently play in line-up: John Cooper (vocals, bass), Korey Cooper (guitar, keyboard), Jen Ledger (drums) and Seth Morisson (guitar).
The third confirmed band of the festival is American rock band from Michigan, Pop Evil. The 5 piece group combines the happy-go-lucky vibe of Kiss and Mötley Crüe with the seriousness of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. On their native soil they have had great success with five albums since 2008 that have produced numerous hits like the aforementioned Boss’s Daughter, Trenches, Deal with the Devil, Torn to pieces or Footsteps. Last month, the ensemble announced that they planned to release their self-titled album Pop Evil in February 2018.
Rock for People 2018 will take place in Festivalpark in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic from July 4th to 6th. Tickets are available to purchase at www.rockforpeople.cz/en/vstupenky, currently priced from 1600,- CZK.
