European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 presents first edition of Capital of Rock festival. The festival will take place at Stadion Wrocław on August 27th, 2016 and will be headlined by the cult German band Rammstein! They return to performing live after a few years break. Other acts on the festival bill are Limp Bizkit, Bullet For My Valentine and OCN.  Tickets (starting from 179 PLN), are sold from today exlusively at www.eventim.pl.

Thanks to common efforts by Biuro Festiwalowe IMPART 2016 and RockloudLive, on the last Saturday of August, Wrocław will turn into the capital of rock. Rammstein’s performance is going to be one of the most spectacular performances in Poland this year. We can expect a remarkable show. Non-compromise guitars mixed with driving beats and one-of-a-kind vocals by Till Lindemann, and exceptional pyro will result in an unique show.

There’s also another great news for Rammstein’s fans. Christian “Flake” Lorenz will meet fans on April 23rd at 6:00pm during celebration of UNESCO World Book Capital held at Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavillion (Plac Nowy Targ in Wrocław). He will discuss his artistic inspirations, East Germany and living with great history behind.

American band Limp Bizkit will also perform at Stadion Wrocław. Fred Durst and his bandmates are one of the most powerful live performers out there. It will be their first show in Wrocław. Just before sunset, the stage will be taken by Bullet For My Valentine. Welsh quartet will present great mix of rock and metalcore. Local representative for Capital of Rock is OCN. Wroclaw trio has released seven records and played number of shows on some of the big stages in Poland and abroad.

Michał Pryszczewski from the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 says: “We believe that Capital of Rock will be some sort of a great summary of summer holidays for a vast group of fans. The festival takes place at Stadion Wroclaw to let tens of thousands of fans attend this extraordinary rock event.”
