BBC Radio 1 reveals first details for Big Weekend 2025!
BBC Radio 1 reveals first details for its biggest event of the year. In 2025 the station’s flagship music festival will take place in Sefton Park, Liverpool from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, with around 100 acts performing across four stages.
First confirmed to play BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025 are Sam Fender, Myles Smith, Wet Leg, Blossoms and Lola Young. With over 100,000 music fans expected to attend, the event promises to be an unforgettable music spectacular.
“We’re thrilled to bring our festival to Liverpool. Liverpool’s vibrant music scene and rich history make it the perfect setting for this iconic event. With incredible artists already announced and more to be announced in the coming months, it’s set to be an unmissable weekend,” says Head of Radio 1, Aled Haydn Jones.
“Radio 1’s Big Weekend has found the perfect home this year in Liverpool. Our music, our audiences and our history of delivering world class major events add up to what is certain to be an incredible three days this May,” comments Leader of Liverpool City Council, Councillor Liam Robinson.

For those who would not be able to attend in-person, there will be a live broadcast from the festival site, with performances and tracks available live and on demand across Radio 1’s iPlayer and BBC Sounds.
