David Guetta, Slash and Fatboy Slim at VOLT Fest 2015!
In the usual spirit of eclecticism new international stars are confirmed to come to Sopron. Next to already announced names – Motörhead, John Newman, Rise Against and Parov Stelar – David Guetta, Slash, Bastille, Fatboy Slim, Wilkinson, Ignite and the Nouvelle Vague lined up.
“Since the beginning, we want the VOLT Festival programs to be the as colorful as possible. This is supported by the announced the names: these stars without exception represent different genres. It’s really an eclectic line up: the DJ who has been listed for years among the world’s bests, a rock legend and current favorites are also included in the list“, said the organizer.
The world’s most famous, today’s most popular DJ and producer David Guetta will fill up Volt’s this year enlarged Main Stage area, whose songs are only unknown to the ones who spent the past decade on the moon.
Slash a few years ago filled the Budapest Sports Arena, now the most important festivals. He is one of the most famous guitarists of all time, whose indelible riffs and solos have been integrated into the “system tools and language” of rock music all around the world.
On Saturday a real “big old”, Fatboy Slim will provide the best tracks. One can say without exaggeration that Norman Cook, who’s hiding behind the name Fatboy Slim, has hymns of a whole generation, from Funk Soul Brother until the Rockafeller Skank, but the Eat Sleep Rave Repeat has captivated the biggest clubs in the last few months.
Bastille is arriving to Volt from the top charts with engaging and intelligent indie and synthpop songs. The young British band giving one of the best concerts at last year’s Sziget Festival. This time they show in Sopron why he millions of youngsters loves them around the world.
A favorite: Wlikinson is bringing his dynamic, elegant music that with its amazing vocals fits every occasion. Recently thousands became fans, this year at Sopron you can check why.
This year Volt is the only festival where you can see the Californian hardcore-punk legend, Ignite, with the Hungarian singer: Zoli Téglás.
For Nouvelle Vauge Volt is not a new territory, in Hungary we always await them with a real big interest. It’s not unusually that their concerts become sold out the day they announce it.
