Five Finger Death Punch releases new video for Gone Away!
Hard rock gods Five Finger Death Punch, have released an official video for their own rendition of The Offspring’s hit, Gone Away. Stripping back the original into an epic ballad version, 5FDP have certainly put their own unique spin on the track that only they would be capable of.
Gone Away and the recently released Trouble, are the band’s first new material delivered in several years. Both tracks are featured on their recent greatest hits compilation album, A Decade Of Destruction out now.
Guitarist Zoltan Bathory comments on the inspiration behind the video for Gone Away: “Every song has exactly as many meanings as many people have heard it, but by creating a music video we can crystallize one of the possibilities, our personal interpretation, and share what those words mean to us personally. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and by taking a snapshot of our own perception of something we are also sharing the impact it had on us. Gone Away is one of those songs that can hit you in the chest, and our interpretation may surprise some… but this is how we heard it.”
Five Finger Death Punch just wrapped up their triumphant European arena rock tour with co-headliner In Flames and special guest Of Mice & Men with a massive show at London’s Wembley Arena. The tour brought the band to major arenas in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Luxemburg, Czech Republic and The Netherlands. Take a look for behind the scenes video:
The band will be heading back to the US to prepare for their upcoming and highly anticipated seventh studio album out in Spring 2018.
