One of the most popular Czech band will play only 2 concerts this year – first in couple of days in Piestany at Topfest. Kabat is promising a show that has never been seen before! The Czech rock legend is celebrating unbelievable 25th anniversary on the scene and with that they are serving you two great show. While at their home, the special show will be introduced in September, their only Slovak concert is going to be at Topfest already on the 26th June.

“Kabat is preparing for their show very precisely – even thought they are lasting members of our festival and this time they are promising an unforgettable experience. They are bringing their premier show that will be presented on a spectacular stage. They are also bringing their supporting act from Denmark, band D-A-D. The huge stage is ordered from Poland and the band production expects the its construction to take 5 all days. The hands helping will be 60 technicians,” said Dusan Drobny, the organizer of the festival Topfest.

“Kabat is taking their quarter of century celebration very serious. The whole mega concert that opens the eleventh year of festival Topfest already the first day of festival, will happen on a stage with area bigger then 400 meters square with huge LED displays and more than 300 light sources. The technology will be transported to Piestany by eight fully loaded semi trucks,” adds Drobny.

Kabat is obviously trying to upstage even their 20th anniversary on which was 60 000 fans in Prague what made it a music event of the year in Czech republic. Concert on Vypich, where the rockers will play again this year, have upstaged the concert of Metallica, Red Hot Chilly Peres and Madonna with the ticket sales in Czech metropolis. Possibly the most successful band in Czech republic nowadays has been taking a break from performing shows since last year’s fall and after longer silence they are coming again to Topfest.

Besides preparing the anniversary show Kabat is currently recoding new album that fans have been waiting for more than 3 years. It should be released in summer, even though the exact date is not out yet. Who knows if the rockers will prepare a little taste of the new album in their upcoming show. The sure thing is that the biggest hits on the mega show in Piestany will not be missing. You think there are not enough of them? Kabat has released tenths of albums that are full of famous hits. The band is playing from 1989 in unchanged constellation Josef Vojtek (singing), Oto Vana (guitar), Radek Hurcik (drums), Milan Spalek (bass guitar) and Tomas Krulich (guitar). They can be proud on 7 awards of “Cesky slavik”. This year’s performance of Kabat on Topfest is no doubt the biggest decoy.
