Line up of Topfest 2015 extends with Hollywood Undead, Chelsea Grin and Texas In July!
Organizers of the 12th year of Topfest adds to line-up three rock/core bands from U.S. – Hollywood Undead, Chelsea Grin and Texas In July will come to the airport in Piestany, from 26th to 28th June 2015, to play at one of the biggest open air festival in Slovakia!
An explosive cocktail of rap, metal and rock, Hollywood Undead exploded out of the U.S. with their debut album Swan Songs. Far removed from the superficial glamour of Los Angeles, the band revel in the dark, real, and sometimes dangerous underbelly of Hollywood, which they’ll bring to the stage in Piestany.
They will bring with them a brand new album, Day of the Dead, from which the first single (also called Day of the Dead) was released at the end of October. Hollywood Undead are coming, and are ready to throw down with all their fans at Topfest 2015.
Chelsea Grin is a deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah and was formed in 2007 by singer Alex Koehler. Early on in the band’s career, they released the songs Crewcabanger and Lifeless as singles, both of which were received well by listening audiences on Myspace.
The band has released two EPs and three full-length albums – Desolation of Eden (2010), My Damnation (2011) and the latest release Ashes to Ashes (2014).
Chelsea Grin currently playing in line-up – Alex Koehler (vocals), Dan Jones (lead guitar), Jake Harmond (guitar), Jason Richardson (guitar, keyboards, programming), David Flinn (bass) and Pablo Viveros (drums).
Texas In July was originally formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 2007. The band is comprised of JT Cavey (vocals), Adam Gray (drums), Chris Davis (lead guitar), Cam Welsh (guitar) and Benjamin Witkowski (bass). They debuted its intricate, breakdown-heavy metalcore sound in 2008 with the EP Salt of the Earth. The quintet followed up quickly the next year with its first full-length, I Am, which Texas in July supported by heading out on the road with bands like the Devil Wears Prada and August Burns Red. They has also performed at a wide variety of music festivals including Graspop Metal Meeting, Vans Warped Tour, The Bamboozle and more.
The band has toured nearly non-stop over the past four years including countless North American and UK/European runs, and ventures to China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and more. In January of 2014, they entered the studio with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. The resulting album, Bloodwork, is the band’s most impressive work to date, offering their most cohesive and innovative instrumentations and most dynamic vocal offerings – including a touch of clean vocals for the first time ever, in the seven year existence of the band.
