Machine Head’s record Bloodstone & Diamonds turns 2!
While not quite as historic as The Blackening turning 10 or The Burning Red turning 17, it remains historic in the sense that Machine Head continues to go from strength to strength, charting higher and growing bigger an astonishing 24 years into their career.
Bloodstone’s debut marked their highest chart positions around the world, with the boys landing in either the Top 5, Top 10 or Top 20 everywhere, and came in at a mind-boggling #12 on the World Chart, which basically tallies up all sales for the Planet Earth that week!
Machine Head continued to forge their own path, by foregoing all European and American festivals, and performed (almost) the entire tour cycle as An Evening With Machine Head to great success. Head Cases around the globe experienced 2 1/2 to 3 hour shows regularly, with both fans and the band absolutely loving it.
Lead off track Now We Die racked up over 4 1/2 million streams on Spotify making it the #2 song for band on the streaming service, and over 2 million views on YouTube.
