After amazing celebration of 30. / 20. anniversary of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, with record audience of 175.000 visitors, the most popular German’s festivals starts pre-sale for 2016 edition and announce first names in line-up!

For the first and last time, at the twin festivals will play the greatest metal band of all time – BLACK SABBATH. It started nearly five decades ago with a crack of thunder, a distant bell ringing and then that monstrous riff that shook the earth. The heaviest rock sound ever heard. Now it ENDS. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler close the final chapter in the final volume of the incredible Black Sabbath story. Black Sabbath’s farewell tour, THE END promises to surpass all previous tours with their most mesmerizing production ever.

After more than 10 years, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS will return to headline the festivals. The American band is a massive force in the business. Their original rock funk mix is highly contagious. In 2012, the four were – well deserved – immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their 11th album, in the making since early this year, is produced by Danger Mouse who is known for his work with artists like The Black Keys and Jack White.

The 3rd headliner of 2016 edition of Rock am Ring / Rock im Park will be rock star from Denmark – VOLBEAT. But it’s not the end – explosive shows with new songs will present Billy Talent, Deftones, Korn, Disturbed, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon and more. The festivals will offer also other music genres with performances of Major Lazer, Fettes Brot or Lexy & K-Paul.

Festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2016 will take place from 3rd to 5th June at the Mendig airport and in Nurnberg, Zepellinfeld. Tickets are sold on www.eventim.de.
