Do you know Kensington, Catfish & The Bottleman or The Qemists? Those are names which Rock for People were bring to Czech Republic when they were small unknown bands. Now they are pretty good in radio charts, they filling up concert halls and their festival gigs are unforgetable. This year the festival will bring another names which are probably unknown for you but their future is bright.

Charismatic guitarist and singer with tattoos Sam Alone comes from Quarteira on the South of Portugal. With his band, The Gravediggers, they play a folk-rock based on Bob Dylan’s 60s folk. They aren’t fascinated by celebrities or fake worlds. They sing about people like us – about people which aren’t in spotlight or on the covers of the magazines.

The Picturebooks are two guys who were born in Germany, but their souls floating in USA. Fynn Claus Grabke and Phillip Mirtschink will heat you up with dirty rock’n’roll and blues music presented on guitar collection from second hand and drums without cymbals. Their new album, Home is a Heartache, is set to be released on March 10th.

Spring King is a post-punk band from England’s Macclesfield. They began back in 2012 as a solo project of the drummer and songwriter Tarek Musa. Thier song City, recorded in Musa’s mother old sewing room and in the bathroom, was the first song played in the Beats 1 radio show, with DJ Zane Lane behind the microphone. Spring King’s debut album, Tell Me If You Like To, was released last year. They currently supporting Kaiser Chiefs on their Stay Together Tour.

Rock for People will take place from 4th to 6th July 2017 on its usual place, in Festivalpark in Hradec Kralove. Alongside the rising stars Sam Alone, The Picturebooks and Spring King, on the festival will perform their more famous colleagues Evanescence, Foster The People, Moose Blood and many other.
