Rock for People 2016 extends with Our Last Night and The 1975!
Czech festival Rock for People, which will take place from 3rd to 5th July 2016 in Hradec Kralove, unveild new bands from line-up for 2016!
The American band Our Last Night is one of the highest ranked post-hardocore bands. Thanks to the vocal skills of the frontman Trevor Wentworth they could release their versions of mainstream hits – such as Miley Cyrus’s song Wrecking Ball, Skyfall originally by Adele or Maps by Maroon 5.
In 2014, they released the music video for the song Sunrise – the band teamed up with anti-bullying organization The Bully Project for the video. The Bully Project battles against the ongoing bullying problem in schools and is trying to inspire young adults to be kinder and more respectful toward their peers.
Their latest studio album Younger Dreams, was released in June 2015. The band play in line up: Trevor Wentworth (vocals), Matt Wentworth (guitar), Alex “Woody” Woodrow (bass) and Tim Molloy (drums).
The 1975 – currently one of the most appreciated young indie pop bands. The four-piece band from Manchester headed by dandy Matt Healy is not coming empty-handed to Rock for People but with the brand new album. The highly-anticipated record “I like it when you sleep , for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” will be released on 26th February and it is the follow-up to the quartet’s million-selling self-titled debut. The band gains the musical inspiration from the 80s and distils their love of 80s sonics into something that sounds impossibly now. We definitely have something to look forward to.
To the line up was also added bands from Czech Republic and Slovakia – HORKYZE SLIZE, THE PARANOID, TRI SESTRY, MONKEY BUSINESS, WE ON THE MOON, DONNIE DARKO, GHOST OF YOU and other. For more informations and tickets go to www.rockforpeople.com and/or www.fb.com/rockforpeople.
