Bombastic voice paired up with rock symphonic tunes, a kickass frontwoman and a handful of talented band mates – Within Temptation is without a doubt different to the line-up we have so far. But they have conquered the world by now and are one of the most successful European bands worldwide, which means they are a must have for Rock in Vienna. With 2014’s album Hydra they surely released a piece of art. On the one hand, they had many different styles of music on the album and on the other hand, they had so many awesome guest appearances like Tarja Turnunen, Xzibit or the singer of Soul Asylum. This is guaranteed to leave you speechless.

Weird music videos, odd guys, fantastic music! We first had to get sure that the boys would hold what their music promises and had a little one on one with the Rolling Stones, BossHoss and Within Temptation to make sure of that. After all, Triggerfinger had been the supporting act for The Rolling Stones and Within Temptation and together with BossHoss they released a cool cover of Mad Man Blues. And yes, we can confirm by now that you indeed will fall for their extraordinary riffs, the clear and atmospheric voice and their fantastic sound, just like you should be used to with their hit single I Follow Rivers.

Saint Vitus are a known pioneer for doom-metal, which is not surprising considering they’ve been playing this style since decades. After 17 years, the boys sat down, listened extensively to Iron Maiden and wrote a new album – apparently Iron Maiden is the best inspiration for the four guys to write lyrics, who knew. We barely can keep our pants on and looking very much forward to their visit in Vienna!

If Godzilla wants to save the dolphins with heavy metal, she must’ve been a French woman. The four members of Gojira have shown us that environment protection and rock can go very well together. The unusual rhythms, the changes between extreme metal to death meal and the missing French beret shows us how unique this band is and is a good reason for you to stop by and listen in to their songs.

Not just an act for the stage, a whole circus spectacle is what is coming with Bonaparte! Odd costumes, gigantic wigs and about 20 artists that will either shock or amuse you. Or both. Wherever Bonaparte appears, gaping mouths will appear, and that is exactly the goal of the Swiss musician.
