The Exploited, The Toy Dolls and Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg will perform at Topfest 2014!
On the airport in Piestany, during the festival Topfest, which will be happening from 26th to 28th June 2014, will be presented 3 punk legends – The Exploited, The Toy Dolls and Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg!
“We are pleased that we can delight fans of this genre with these bands which are very important part of the music history, and now they will be perform on our festival during the one weekend. Punk’s not dead!” said Dusan Drobny from organization team.
The Exploited has released nine studio albums. Their debut album Punk’s Not Dead become the legendary record. Scottish band is still active. Band is currently playing in line-up – Wullie Buchan (drums), Matt Justice (guitar) and Irish Rob (bass guitar). Their frontman is singer Wattie Buchan, which is member of the band almost since their formation.
Next band which will be play at Topfest 2014 is The Toy Dolls, which was founded in UK on the end of 80’s years. Band playing in line-up: Michael Algar (vocal, guitar), Duncan Redmonds (drums), Tom Blyth (bass guitar), and has released 16 studio albums. The latest album The Album After The Last One, was released in 2012.
At Topfest 2014 will be also performing american band Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg, with the drummer Marky Ramone, which is the only living member of legendary The Ramones. The Ramones ended career in 1996. In 2002 they were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and in 2011 were awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Exploited, The Toy Dolls and Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg completing list of the artists for the 11th edition of Topfest, which will be headlined by Thirty Seconds To Mars, Helloween and Sabaton. The other bands which will be presented during the last weekend of june are Kabat with their special guest D-A-D, Team, Horkyze Slize, Tomas Klus, Zona A, Desmod, Smola a Hrusky, Zoci Voci… Tickets to Topfest are sold on www.ticketportal.sk for price 43€ / normal ticket or 120€ / VIP ticket.
