3 Doors Down announce reissue of their debut The Better Life!
To celebrate 20th anniversary of their debut The Better Life, US rock band 3 Doors Down will release a re-mastered edition of the album, along with the nine-song EP Escatawpa Sessions, recorded in the band’s Mississippi hometown in 1996.
Originally released in February 2000, The Better Life was the first “best” rock album of the 2000s, and became certified 7x RIAA platinum. Two full decades later, the impact and enduring resonance of the album remains as true and deep as the day it was first heard. The Better Life was fueled by the explosive, anthemic, No. 1 Mainstream Rock single Kryptonite, and includes also other hit singles, Be Like That, Loser or Duck and Run.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since we released the album that changed our lives forever. It’s been a wild ride. I’m really looking forward to rocking and celebrating with our fans this summer. We can’t wait to share the new production! It’s one of the largest and best looking we’ve ever had,” says 3 Doors Down’s frontman Brad Arnold.
Re-issue of The Better Life and the Escatawpa Sessions EP (features seven demo versions from the album and three previously unreleased tracks), will be available as a box set on high-quality 3LP vinyl and will feature a custom lithograph, a six-page booklet with never-before-seen photos and extensive liner notes, and interviews with the band and executives from their label and talent agency.
Expanded digital album and a 2CD will be also available, each of them feature four new bonus tracks: The Better Life (XX Mix) – a new mix by Grammy Award-winning Chris Lord-Alge, Kryptonite (2000 Acoustic), Be Like That (2000 Acoustic), and Wasted Me (With Harp Version).
This evening will see 3 Doors Down kick off a PPV series 3 X LIVE, which give you three opportunities to watch them performing live from Nashville, TN in the safety and comfort of your living room. Today’s stream will feature the band, for the very first time, playing their debut album in its entirety, plus three previously unheard songs from their vault. The next streams will offer a mix of greatest hits, performed acoustically (on February 19th), and Live & Electric (on March 5th). The setlists will vary for three unique fan experiences.
