Full line-up announced for Download Pilot event!
Earlier this week organizers of the UK Download festival announced the details of a special pilot event to help with the bid for the return of large scale live events. Now they reveals the full line up for the one-off, set to take place in Donington Park on the weekend of Friday, 18th to Sunday, 20th June 2021.
The line up of a three-day, 10,000 capacity, camping only event from Festival Republic, features 40 UK based acts with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Enter Shikari and Bullet For My Valentine headlining. Other confirmed to perform are Neck Deep, While She Sleeps, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Skindred, Sleep Token, Creeper, Twin Atlantic, The Wildhearts, Boston Manor and more.
“There is nothing that beats the experience of a live rock n roll show especially after all the lockdowns, it’s something that can’t be downloaded and doesn’t work either as a livestream. So to be involved in this much needed and very special pilot event is an honour. We can’t wait to celebrate and bring the party to Donington Park again this June,” talks Benji Webbe of Skindred.
Bullet For My Valentine leader Matt Tuck comments: “We’re beyond honoured to be part of this historic music event to kick start the live music industry and bringing back live music to people lives. The world has been quiet for too long, time to bring the noise!”

Putting together a line-up of 40 outstanding bands including headliners like Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Enter Shikari and Bullet For My Valentine, is something the Download brand is uniquely able to do and made possible by a thriving UK rock scene and deep pool of in-demand talent. With moshing back on the cards, this is going to be a true celebration of festival spirit and something special to be a part of,” says festival owner Andy Copping.
Tickets for a limited capacity Download Pilot go on sale Thursday, June 3rd, 2021, costing £120 (plus booking fee). Download festival 2022 ticket holders will be given priority on tickets for the pilot event for 48 hours. There will be no day tickets available and you will be required to camp for the duration of the three-day rock extravaganza.
All attendees will have to provide a negative lateral flow COVID test result to enter the festival. Everyone will also be asked to take a PCR test before and after the event and provide NHS track & trace details so that you can be contacted in the future if someone tests positively. Once inside, social distancing and masks will not be needed and you’ll be allowed to mosh to your heart’s content.
