Paramore, Mastodon and You Me At Six extends line up of Rock for People 2017!
Organizers of Rock for People festival are happy to announce new extensions in line up for its 23rd edition – You Me At Six, Mastodon and Paramore, who will headline the 2nd festival day (Wednesday, July 5th).
American band Paramore will return to Rock for People after six years. Their performance at the festival in 2011 belongs among those concerts which is still remembered by many visitors. Since then, they have come a long way. The band, with the unmistakable, charismatic lead-singer, Hayley Williams, will return to Hradec Kralove, armed, not only with their greatest hits, which earned them numerous awards including Grammy and Kerrang! and millions of fans around the world, but they will also introduce their freshly finished new album. The good news doesn‘t finish there though: after a seven year break, drummer and band co-founder Zac Farro is coming back to enrich the creative tandem completed by guitarist Taylor York. Paramore will be fully charged with new energy and ready to headline the main festival stage at Rock for People!
English rock band You Me At Six have had a hugely successful career to date, Formed in 2004, the group achieved first success in 2008 with the release of their debut album, Take Off Your Colours. Since that, they selling over 600,000 albums globally. In 2011 they have won the award for Best British Band at the Kerrang! Awards. The band has toured extensively, with appearances on Warped Tour, Reading / Leeds festival, and has toured with Thirty Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low.
Since forming back in 2000, Mastodon have certainly made the most of their time. Most recently, their 2014 seventh offering Once More Round The Sun bowed at #6 on the Billboard Top 200, marking their highest chart entry to date and second consecutive Top 10 debut following 2011’s The Hunter. Casting a shadow over pop culture, they received Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance GRAMMY Award nominations in 2007, 2014 and again in 2015. Their music blasted through the Academy Award-winning comedy The Big Short animated blockbuster Monsters University and sci-fi western Jonah Hex starring Josh Brolin for which the group composed the score. After contributing White Walker to HBO’s Catch The Throne, Vol.2 mixtape, Dailor, Hinds, and Kelliher appeared as Wildlings in a popular episode of Game of Thrones Season 5.
Rock for People 2017 will held on its usual place in Festivalpark in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic from 4th to 6th July. Tickets are sold on www.rockforpeople.cz/en/vstupenky, currently starting at 80€. On sale is also a limited number of 2000 one-day tickets, for each festival day, priced at 50€.
