Rock for People 2016 announce first bands in line up!
One of the best Czech rock festivals, Rock for People announce first confirmed bands for 2016! To Festivalpark in Hradec Kralove will come BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, ENTER SHIKARI and THE OFFSPRING. After great responses to their performance at Rock for People in 2011, Bullet For My Valentine will return to Hradec Kralove. Since the release of their debut album, The Poison, in 2005, Bullet For My Valentine have established themselves as one of the biggest bands on the planet. Over the course of their astonishing career they have sold 10 million albums and toured the globe countless times, gaining more fans at every turn. Their latest record, Venom, was released in August 2015 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart, #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.
Another announced band is no one other than Enter Shikari. Post-hardcore band from Hertfordshire, UK was formed in 2003. Four years later, in March 2007, they issued their first proper LP, Take to the Skies, which entered the British Top Five on the strength of the smash single “Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour”. In 2009 they’ve released a second album Common Dreads, followed with A Flash Flood of Colour (2012). The latest record, The Mindsweep was released in January.
After eight years, they’re back! To Hradec Kralove will return punk-rock legend from sunny California – The Offspring. They will not only be bringing the cult hits, but perhaps a new album. The release of their tenth studio album is due next year.
The Offspring (originally Manic Subsidal) were founded in the mid-80s by guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland and bassist Greg K. Their first big success came in 1994 with the release of the third studio album ‘Smash’, which became still the biggest selling album ever released on an indie label. The album has sold over 12 million copies and garnered six platinum awards. This was followed by albums such as Ixnay on the Hombre, Americana and Conspiracy of One.
